IBM in Southeast Asia

Daring to Dream

In the 1930s, IBM’s legendary French executive Camille Delcour first explored the possibilities Southeast Asian societies held for IBM technologies. In the decades that followed his initial inquiries, the company actively expanded its presence in the countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

On these pages we’ve collected highlights from IBM's long history in these countries, along with a sampling of images from our collection of materials covering decades of the company’s activities in this region.
