"Just as someone who is slowly moving out of the active scene in IBM, I'd like to
use the opportunity of expressing my own appreciation to everyone who worked on the project.
A lot of them are still in IBM. Some of them work for our worthy competitors. But as a team
in those days they were absolutely unbeatable and they were the nucleus of all the teams
that created the computers that we have had since. So in a very real way, they helped me
build a business reputation which was more their credit than my own. And so it's made my
life fruitful and happy, and I'm very grateful to them."
