     Thirty positions distributed in the first 6 storage-entry and storage-exit words

     All 26 alphabetic characters plus the 10 numerical digits

Special Character Device

     Same as alphabetic device

     Group I: eleven and twelve punch characters
     Group II: all 407 special characters, including eleven and twelve punches

Floating-Point arithmetic

     Provides individual operation codes for automatic processing of floating decimal arithmetic

     35,300 floating additions or subtractions per minute (4 shifts)
     6,000 floating multiplications per minute (multiplier = 55,555,555)
     3,800 floating divisions per minute (divisor = 55,555,555)

Indexing Accumulators

     Provide for data address and instruction address modification. Reduce instruction storage requirements
