  • Standard 1200-card-capacity hopper and 1300-card-capacity stacker.
  • Operates on a cycle-stealing basis, with one core storage cycle per card column.

1231 Optical Mark Page Reader

  • Optically reads standard #2 pencil marks on a source document, and transfers information directly to 1131 Central Processing Unit.
  • Can maintain a document throughput of 2000 per hour.
  • Once source documents are placed in hopper, the 1231, under stored program control, requires no further operator intervention.
  • In a single pass through the reader, marks are read and checked, and information is transferred to the processor on a fully buffered interrupt basis.
  • Master mark data is transferred to the 1131 only during reading of the master mark sheet.
  • Source documents measure 8-1/2" by 11", with up to 1000 marking positions.
  • Mark discrimination compares marks against a predetermined level. Data sheets can be rejected under program control if a weak or invalid mark is detected.
  • Cannot be attached to system using a 2501 Card Reader.

1132 Printer Models 1 and 2

  • Efficient typewheel printing concept.
  • Standard 48-character-set typewheels include FORTRAN special character set.
