- Contains all features of Model 1, plus processor-contained direct access disk storage for one disk. Each 2310B Disk Storage Drive accommodates either one or two disks, allowing for a maximum configuration of five disks per system. All disk storage drives use removable and interchangeable 2315 Disk Cartridges.
- Access to information stored on 2315 Disk Cartridge is via high-speed data channel having transfer rate of 35,000 words per second. Data transfer is independent of processor operation and on a cycle-stealing basis under control of four channel registers. Seek, read, write, and write-check operations can occur independently and concurrently for all five disks.

- Contains all features of Model 1 except communications features. Processor-contained direct access disk storage for one disk is included. The disk storage drive uses removable and interchangeable 2315 Disk Cartridges.
