I am delighted and deeply honored in my appointment to president of the IBM Academy of Technology for the next two years. The Academy Board of Governors made the unprecedented decision to build an enviable team of leaders to join me in the task of re-vitalizing the IBM Academy of Technology. The team's objective is to re-establish the inspiring and inclusive academy of eminent technology leaders that have an enduring impact on the IT Industry to make the world better. Please join me in congratulating this Academy Leadership Team.
The goal of the Academy and the impetus behind this new leadership model is to strengthen the impact and vitality of IBM's technical community for our business and our clients. In an increasingly diverse and globally integrated world, the AoT relies on its members to add value to IBM on a global scale, bringing with them their own unique points of view and individual experiences.
My 90-day plan begins today with a relentless focus on ensuring the Academy is Inspiring – Inclusive – Impactful in all that we do. I am keen that we focus on some immediate actions for each of these aspects and start to make tangible progress.
