Most key business initiatives cannot succeed without effective integration of information. Critical business initiatives such as single view of a customer, business intelligence, supply chain management, and Basel II and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance require consistent, complete, and trustworthy information.
However, creating a single, consolidated view of critical enterprise data is a significant challenge. Data and applications, across enterprises, are overlapping and redundant.
In fact, the average billion-dollar company manages 48 disparate financial and nearly 3 enterprise resource planning systems.1
This solution can help you quickly find and integrate information, cost effectively manage it, and fuel the insights that drive innovation. By creating a flexible, scalable infrastructure that can extract, transform and load data quickly, you can reliably bring information to people where and when they need it.

The data integration solution combines hardware and software elements from IBM and IBM Business Partners in a configuration that has been pre-tested and validated.
The data integration element begins with WebSphere® DataStage and WebSphere® ProfileStage.
- WebSphere DataStage integrates data across multiple and varied types and high volumes of data sources and target applications
- WebSphere ProfileStage automates data discovery including column analysis, table analysis and cross-table analysis
The Grid element is comprised of the necessary hardware — IBM BladeCenter®, configured with four blades; the operating system — Linux; and the grid middleware — IBM Tivoli® Workload Scheduler LoadLeveler®, which enables application scheduling, efficient dynamic resource allocation and resource sharing.
IBM Services provides deployment expertise to help implement your data integration solution. Services can include: a site readiness assessment, hardware and software installation and tailoring, testing, documentation and client training.

The data integration solution can be customized and tailored to fit your needs — from the number of blades, to your choice of operating systems, and grid middleware available from IBM Business Partners.
