From 3 August 2009 until 31 December 2009 clients can renew their Cognos service & support agreement using free financing to spread payments over one year.
Cognos Business Intelligence and Performance Management software enables you to create and administer reports, scorecards, plans & forecasts with data from multiple sources, to help make informed decisions that drive better performance.
The annual software renewal can be a substantial sum of money, typically in a $50-$250K range. The response to the invoice is often to ask for a better price. Even when a discount is offered, there is still a substantial amount to be paid. In these cash constrained times, the discount doesn't really meet the immediate need.
The offer of an interest free loan, which spreads payments over a year, is a relevant response to the discount request. Payment will be in more manageable quarterly amounts, and cash will not be drained in one large payment.
