IBM Refurbished with Warranty (RwW)
 
Refurbished with Warranty (RwW) is an offering provided through the IBM brand divisions featuring selected used IBM Systems that have been tested and factory refurbished and includes the warranty normally available only on new systems.
RwW is different than IBM Certified Used Equipment™ (ICUE) in that:

  1. ICUE is provided with a 90-day quality satisfaction guarantee.
  2. ICUE is provided through IBM Global Financing, not the IBM brand divisions.

The RwW offering is ideal for clients who are interested in adding to an existing infrastructure where the machine type or model is no longer available in new production. Also, while leading with new product provides the optimal solution, RwW can be an affordable IBM alternative when the client is facing budget constraints. You can now provide your clients with a three-tiered pricing strategy including new, RwW, and ICUE levels of pricing.

Selected RwW systems can be built to order to support unique client requirements and are provided for sale through the IBM Systems and Technology Group. Business Partners may purchase only those brands for which they are approved to remarket. RwW products require a Value Added Enhancement (VAE) for the same new model brands that require a VAE. RwW transactions will count towards DIO/GIO attainment.

Orders for RwW models should be submitted the same way orders are submitted for a new model. The RPQ or feature number needs to be included for the order to be fulfilled as a refurbished model.
