What do I do about data on my hard drives? |
|
You are responsible for removal of all company data prior to return of an asset to IBM. However, we do offer an optional disk sanitisation and cleansing service to ensure proper overwrite of your data. Hard-file data is cleansed via a 3x overwrite process* so that data is virtually impossible to recover.
*Disk overwrite service is offered in selected countries only. |

How do I send my assets to IBM? |

IBM Global Asset Recovery Solutions offers services that include pickup at your location. We will provide instructions, including pickup and shipping to our designated location. |

What does it cost? |
|
Freight may be free of charge, depending on the marketability of the product.
Where a freight cost is involved, a quote will be provided based on the quantity of assets, their type and the locations from which they must be collected. IBM's buying power enables us to achieve extremely competitive freight rates.

When will I get my cheque? |

Once we receive your equipment, we inspect it to ensure that the equipment is identical to what was agreed and send a cheque within 45 days. |

What happens if my system has no marketable value? |
|
IBM Global Asset Recovery Solutions provides an environmentally safe disposal option for assets without market value in accordance with environmental guidelines and national laws. |
