IBM Asset Recovery Solutions now offers its services to organisations of any size as long as it meets the minimum pickup of 25 units (notebooks, desktops or monitors). |

What kind of equipment is eligible? |

IBM can dispose of most IT equipment commonly in service, regardless of their brand. This includes:
- PC Servers
- Notebook PCs
- Desktop PCs
- Laser Printers
- Monitors

What do I do about data on my hard drives? |
|
You are responsible for removal of all company data prior to return of an asset to IBM. However, we do offer an optional disk sanitisation and cleansing service to ensure proper overwrite of your data. Hard-file data is cleansed via a 3x overwrite process so that data is virtually impossible to recover. This option meets the United States Department of Defence 5220-22-m 3-pass standards. |

How do I ship my assets to IBM? |

IBM Asset Recovery Solutions offers services that include pickup at your location. We will provide instructions, including pickup and shipping to our designated location. |

What does it cost? |
|
Freight may be free of charge, depending on the marketability of the product.
Where a freight cost is involved, a quote will be provided based on the quantity of assets, their type and the locations from which they must be collected. IBM's buying power enables us to achieve extremely competitive freight rates. |

How long is my trade-in quote valid for? |
|
It's good for 30 days from the date you receive a quote for your assets. |
|
When will I get my cheque? |
|
Once we receive your equipment, we inspect it to ensure that the equipment is identical to what was agreed and send a cheque within 45 days. |

What happens if my system has no marketable value? |
|
IBM Asset Recovery Solutions provides an environmentally safe disposal option for assets without market value in accordance with environmental guidelines and national laws. |

Simply request a quote using this form and an IBM representative will contact you within 3 business days. You'll need information including processor type and speed, RAM, and hard drive capacity for PCs and servers, monitor size, printer speed, and condition of the equipment. |
