About the IBM Certified Used Rental Program:

  • Rent an IBM Certified Used System i™ or System p® server for 3 to 12 months.
  • Simplify budgeting and planning by combining IBM hardware, software and services into a single contract with a single monthly statement.
  • Monthly payments are set at a low percentage of the unit's new price, based on the length of the rental contract.
  • The longer you rent, the lower your monthly payments.
Are you a few months away from a major server installation? Expecting a seasonal spike, and need some extra server capacity? Migrating or developing new server applications? Or maybe you simply want to "try before you buy"?

If that sounds like you, then the IBM Certified Used Rental Program is the perfect solution. Now you can rent selected IBM System i and System p systems from our IBM Certified Used Equipment inventory, at low monthly rates based on an equivalent machine's new pricing. It's the simplest, smartest way to acquire the high-performance server capacity you need, without committing yourself to a purchase or a long-term lease.

To make the IBM Certified Used Rental Program as simple as possible, the amount you'll pay each month is calculated based on a percentage of the current list price of an equivalent new server. The longer you rent, the lower the percentage you pay -- and the lower your monthly payment!
Qualifying products

Eligible products include IBM System i model 9406, and System p models 7014, 7017, 7025, 7026, 7028, 7029, 7038, 7043, 7044, 7311, 7039 and 7040.

Eligibility requirements

Available to credit-qualified clients in the United States.
Terms and conditions

  • Offer available on 3- to 12-month rental contracts based on lease type "L".
  • Client can choose to extend rental beyond end of contract on a month-to-month basis at the current payment rate.
  • Maintenance service is available on a per-call basis as needed.
  • May not be combined with any other IBM Global Financing offering.
