Program overview
The IBM Sales & Distribution (S&D) Summit Program is a program focused on attracting MBA, MS and BS graduates for client-facing consultative sales and information technology specialist positions. Internship positions are also available for June through August.

As part of the intensive development program, we introduce our new hires to IBM's consultative sales approach through the innovative 12 week IBM Global Sales School. New employees will benefit from a practical mix of classroom training, e-learning, project simulations, and individual career support to ensure you have the skills and tools to be successful.

Position description:
Integrates IBM in front of the customer to provide one face and one IBM strategy for the client. Leads the development of the overall account plan and has primary responsibility for identifying and prioritizing opportunities and developing client-valued solutions involving multiple brands and elements. Understands the client's organization and culture. Develops and executes a relationship plan to address both IT and line-of-business organizations, leveraging other subject matter experts, executives, and thought-leaders as needed to provide value to the client. Maintains a thorough understanding of the client's industry, including industry trends, industry business processes, industry financial measurements and performance indicators, and key client competitors in their industry.

Position description:
Defines solutions and architectures to address client business requirements and technical needs. Works in levels of abstraction, applying industry knowledge and leveraging appropriate technology information. Develops, tests, and presents client solutions, which may involve various technologies, services, and architectural styles and domains. Works in Dallas, TX, for the first 9 months and then is relocated to a permanent work location following the training period to consult with clients of all sizes. Leverages technical expertise to assist sales counterparts in maintaining client satisfaction and attaining revenue.

Global Technology Services (GTS) offers end-to-end IT and business process services supported by an unmatched global delivery network.
Position description:
Entry-level sales role in IBM Information Technology Strategy & Design Practice's rapidly expanding business. These exciting positions are client facing, and IT consulting specialist positions. These roles are for highly energetic IT consulting specialists traveling frequently to work on client engagements with an IBM team of professionals.
A successful IT consulting specialist understands how to conduct client interviews to learn the business function, research, and analyze data. Provide the client with recommendations addressing the scope of IBM's engagement. IBM's IT strategy client sponsors are typically C-Level executives cross industry. The ideal candidate will have an IT background and a desire to work on the most challenging issues faced by our clients. Must demonstrate ability to team, communicate effectively, and think logically while dealing with ambiguity. The training program includes 6 months in the IBM Summit Program. Includes consultative sales training and product education, as well as 3 to 6 months of training in a specific services specialty, and will require considerable travel. Upon territory assignment, the candidate must be willing to travel up to 75%.

A successful Sales Specialist delivers dynamic presentations to a range of technical and C-Level executive audiences to effectively articulate the value proposition of IBM's Managed Security Services. The ideal candidate will have an IT security background and a desire to sell complex security solutions; must demonstrate ability to identify, validate, qualify, and close sales opportunities, while focusing on customer satisfaction.
Post training, candidates will work with more senior sales team members and will be part of a team responsible for the complete life cycle of a services opportunity. Position description:
This position is for MBA candidates. This role is responsible for leading a project team in delivering a solution to the customer using the appropriate business measurements and terms and conditions for the project according to the project charter, project agreement or contract. The Project Executive (PE) has overall performance responsibility for managing scope, profit and loss, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management. They are responsible for managing all project resources, including subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the customer. They provide day to day direction to the project team and regular project status to the customer. In addition, this role is intended to provide necessary experiences and education to prepare for a role as a Certified Project Executive. Project Executives are required to grow the account through follow on sales of current offerings.
