Client Representative

Position description:

Provides a single point of contact to all of IBM's sales and technical resources for one or more IBM clients. Leads the strategy and development of the overall account plan and has primary responsibility for identifying opportunities and developing client-valued solutions involving multiple IBM products. Understands the client's organization and culture. Develops and executes a relationship plan to address both IT and line-of-business organizations, leveraging other IBM subject matter experts, executives, and thought-leaders, as needed, to provide value to the client. Maintains a thorough understanding of the client's industry, including trends, financial measurements and performance indicators, business processes, and key client competitors.

Information Technology Architect

Position description:

Defines solutions and architectures to address client business requirements and technical needs. Works in levels of abstraction, applying industry knowledge and leveraging appropriate IBM methodology and knowledge of software and server systems. Leads the development, testing, and presentation of client solutions that may involve various software and systems technologies, services, architectural styles, and domains. Leverages technical expertise to assist sales counterparts in maintaining client satisfaction and attaining revenue. Works in Dallas, TX, for the first nine months and then is relocated to a permanent work location in a major U.S. city to consult with clients of all sizes, following the training period. Upon receiving territory assignment, the new hire must be willing to travel up to 25%.

Information Technology Specialist

Position description:

Establishes relationships with clients and assists Client Representatives and Product Specialists in developing IBM client solutions. Has responsibility for the technical elements of a solution's design, content, construction, and integration into the client's environment. Provides valued IBM solutions by responding to the client's business requirements through innovative integration of hardware, software, and services. Articulates and demonstrates the benefits of IBM products, solutions and/or services based on the client's technical environment and needs. Responsible for maintaining client satisfaction and providing technical expertise in a particular IBM software or hardware product line.

Position description:

Manages relationships with clients and provides value to them by specializing in IBM product solutions that solve their business problems. Product Specialists provide leadership and set the overall strategy for their particular product or product line by supporting the strategies of the Client Representative and coordinating other technical resources for successful product sales efforts and implementation projects.

GTS Cloud Services Product Specialist

Position description:

The Cloud Services Product Specialist develops business opportunities, manages relationships with clients, and provides value to them by specializing in IBM Cloud computing solutions that solve their business problems. Product Specialists are assigned to specific opportunities/territories and are responsible for closing sales and maximizing client satisfaction. Product Specialists provide leadership and set the overall strategy for their particular product or product line by supporting the strategies of the Client Representative and coordinating other technical resources for successful product sales efforts and implementation projects.

A qualified candidate demonstrates business acumen, thrives on leading sales Initiatives and closing business deals, is able to build long term professional relationships and manage customer satisfaction, and possesses the technical ability to help develop business solutions. The ideal candidate has the skills to lead sales initiatives and to close business deals.

The positions are located in major U.S. cities. The training program includes six months of consultative sales training and product education, as well as 3 to 6 months of training in a specific services territory. Upon receiving territory assignment, must be willing to travel up to 25%.

GTS Information Technology Consulting Specialist

Position description:

IT Specialists identify and develop sales opportunities, which grow into client engagements. The GTS IT Consulting Specialist is a sales role requiring a significant amount of travel time to client sites for solution development and delivery with a team of IBM consultants and specialists. Key activities include interviewing clients in the discovery phase of an engagement, learning about and documenting the client's business operations, and analyzing discovered data to determine conclusions which support a client's engagement goals. These goals most often include presenting an IBM consulting services solution recommendation to C-level client executives and their teams.

The ideal candidate has an IT background and a desire to work on the most challenging issues faced by our clients. The training program includes six months consultative sales training and product education, as well as 3 to 6 months of training in a specific services specialty. Upon receiving territory assignment, the candidate must be willing to travel up to 75%.

Position description:

A client-facing, services sales, and business development position which makes presentations to executive, line management, and staff level clients, works collaboratively with solution development teams, and possesses an understanding of IBM services and products.

After an intense six-month training period, a new Territory Services Leader (TSL) builds and maintains business relationships with key clients and generates significant contract signings and highly profitable Technical Support Services revenue growth. The TSL's primary objective is to identify new business opportunities and sell solutions which address the assigned client's business needs and value expectations.
