IBM Summit Experienced Professional Program overview
The IBM Summit Experienced Professional (ExPro) Program specializes in accelerated training for, and assimilation into, IBM client-facing, consultative sales and technical sales positions. IBM Summit ExPro offers you industry-leading training and in-territory experiences over a three-month period to ensure the proper enablement of new-to-IBM, experienced sales professionals. ExPro introduces you to IBM's consultative sales approach through our unique and innovative, six-week program, Global Sales School, a practical mix of classroom training, e-learning, project simulations, and individual career support to ensure you have the skills and tools to be successful. We then provide you with additional training, following Global Sales School, which establishes the big-picture view of IBM, while you are already developing in-territory client relationships through key individual sales managers and executive mentors.
How to apply for Summit Experienced Professional opportunities
Summit Experienced Professionals are hired by sales managers, who have job openings, in IBM’s U.S. Sales & Distribution (S&D) division. The ExPro program does not recruit for these positions. However, once you receive an offer from an IBM S&D hiring manager (after finding, applying for, and interviewing for an open IBM sales position), you are eligible to participate in the IBM Summit ExPro Program. Be sure to let the hiring manager know you are interested in being a Summit ExPro!
You can find Sales & Distribution job openings at ibm.com/jobs. On the Job Search page, select "Sales" as the job area and "Americas" as the region. This selection includes Client Reps, Product Specialist sales reps, and IT Specialist sales reps. You will want to look at opportunities in the USA and in 'IBM Sales & Distribution'.

Any Experienced Professional with 3+ years of experience. Job postings in S&D are all eligible for participation in the Program. Speak to the interviewing manager for guidance on participating in the IBM Summit Experienced Professional Program.

Over a six-week period, Global Sales School participants will focus on 6 to 8 activities that drive the performance of IBM's most successful sellers. In true-to-life sales situations, sellers have experiences based on actual in-territory situations such as sales calls, receiving feedback, navigating IBM, using IBM sales resources, and creating sales deliverables.
