Working in IBM

Meet IBMers

For more than a century, IBM has worked to support and foster a distinctive brand of thinker and doer known as the "IBMer." Today, more than 430,000 IBMers working in 170 countries, help make the world work better. IBMers are forward thinkers. We believe that the applications of intelligence, reason and science can improve business, society and the human condition. IBMers are global professionals and global citizens. We tap into the diverse talents and points of view of our colleagues from around the world to surface the best ideas and capabilities to make our clients successful. IBMers build relationships based on trust, our word and doing more than what is expected.

Diversity @ IBM - Doing it differently

We are seeking forward-thinking women and men who hunger for continual learning, career growth, and are motivated by making a positive impact on the world. We hire the smartest, most creative, innovative, trustworthy people on the planet.

Are you an IBMer?

What you would do

...help build a smarter planet by joining the world's leading services and technology company.

In 2008, IBM observed that the world was becoming instrumented, interconnected, and intelligent -- what IBM calls a "smarter planet." Through IBM's business consulting, technology and R&D expertise, IBM is working with governments and companies to build systems that analyze data and make the world a better place -- creating less traffic, helping doctors better diagnose and treat patients, making cities safer, and more.

What you would learn

...to be a global citizen and grow as a leader.

IBM's culture is to develop every IBMer as a future leader who is a "global citizen" - people who are culturally aware, collaborative and innovative. We believe in experiential learning programs -- from a pervasive culture of mentoring, to a wide range of social media tools for collaborating and learning, to global experiences with social good such as the Corporate Service Corps, a community service program that doubles as leadership training.
