1. Briefly, what are the main responsibilities of your current IBM position?

I lead several teams consisting of system architects and client technical specialists in the People's Republic of China STG. These teams bring IBM infrastructure technologies, products and solutions to all Sectors and General Business top accounts.

In addition to traditional business engagement, I'm also responsible for developing technical coverage for competitive selling, as well as leading the incubation of STG assets through collaboration with the China System Technology Lab.

2. Why did you chose to work at IBM over other companies?

Throughout my career at IBM, the company has given me chances to grow, both as a professional and an individual. I have to admit that I'm really attached to the company, from the leaders I respect to the peers I enjoy working with. And, I still have the passion to achieve more in my career in IBM.

3. Anything you learned about IBM that you didn't know before working here?

Before I worked for IBM, I actually wondered what this company was really doing besides just selling PCs. That was 17 years ago. Needless to say, I've learned a lot more.

1. Briefly, what are the main responsibilities of your current IBM position?

I lead IBM Malaysia's Techline System x team. We provide remote pre-sales technical support to IBM sales teams and IBM Business Partners, focusing on IBM System x and BladeCenter products. We collaborate with IBM sales teams and IBM Business Partners to define, design and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions. We also provide support on technical inquiries, as well as perform configuration, quality assurance and competitive positioning of IBM solutions.

2. Why did you chose to work at IBM over other companies?

Working at IBM is awesome! Every day is full of new challenges. Being part of the technical pre-sales team, there is so much to learn with help from my peers, colleagues and management teams around the world. Collaboration truly works at IBM - it is not just a concept. Working with a great team is the key for me - and it's why I stay here.

3. Anything you learned about IBM that you didn't know before working here?

The core values of IBM. I am impressed with how each and every IBMer demonstrates these values at work. I am also impressed with the extensive investment that IBM makes in training and skill development for their employees. This not only ensures that employees are equipped with relevant skills, but helps them develop their careers.

1. Briefly, what are the main responsibilities of your current IBM position?

Technical Consultant to clients, internal sales teams and IBM Business Partners. I collaborate with IBM sales teams to define, design and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions. I also deliver Proof of Concept; develop and deliver technical education; support critical situations; design solutions, and answer technical questions.

I learned about working effectively within a matrix organization.

1. Briefly, what are the main responsibilities of your current IBM position?

My main responsibilities are to increase IBM's market share by expanding its relationships with current customers that are not purchasing the IBM System x product. Educating current and potential customers on the advantages of our offerings plays a significant role in accomplishing this goal.
