IBM International Student Placement

This is for you if you are studying in a different country (host country) and want to work within your "home" country. For example, you are from India but go to graduate school in the U.S. After graduation, you would work for IBM in India.

Most job opportunities for international students are available through direct placement and include jobs in:

IBM International Student Development

This is for you if you are studying in one country (host country) and are interested in developing your skills further within this country for up to a year, and you would then like to move back to your "home" country or a country where you are work authorized for full-time employment. Currently, we have limited development opportunities.

It includes programs such as the Global Research Leadership Program, which targets Research PhDs to work in the U.S. before returning to another IBM Research Lab in China or India.

How do I apply for an international job at IBM?

Go to IBM's Global Jobs Database to "Search and Apply" for entry level jobs in your country and area of interest.

Note: These jobs will be paid in local currency, and salary will be adjusted to reflect the local compensation structure and labor market. In order to qualify for employment you must have the proper authorization to work in the country and meet local language requirements for the job.


What happens after I apply?

If we determine a strong match, someone from IBM will contact you to arrange an interview and applicable assessment/testing.
