Employment Pathways for Interns and Co-Ops (EPIC)

The EPIC program at IBM is designed to give students real world work experience that helps build their skills and familiarize them with IBM’s organization and work style. IBM also provides educational and career events during work assignment terms. This type of experience will help give students a competitive edge when they enter the work force as a new graduate.

Applicants must be full-time students at an accredited university and must be a participant in their school's co-op or internship program. We hire students for 4-, 8-, 12-, or 16-month terms (depending on the type of student placement), which start in January, May, or September. Competitive salary is paid based on the number of credits completed toward a student’s degree.

Summer programs

IBM student summer programs offer challenging, meaningful work assignments to students who are currently enrolled in post-secondary education and are geared towards students who are not currently enrolled in either an internship or co-operative education program. Students gain both professional experience and an understanding of the business world in a high-tech environment.

Extreme Blue

Extreme Blue is IBM's premier internship program, which acts as an incubator for world class talent, technology and business innovation running in the Canada Labs in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Victoria. Students traveled to IBM Corporate Headquarters to showcase their projects and presented to the Chairman of IBM, Sam Palmisano.
