FAQs

General FAQs

What will I experience as an applicant?

As an external applicant, you will be able to create an online application and upload a resume. The initial investment of your time will result in less data entry in future applications. You will also be able to view all global external openings, apply to multiple jobs within a country at the same time, update your contact info, send to a friend, and check on the status of your application(s).

Will I be able to apply to more than one vacancy on the system?

Yes. You can apply to multiple vacancies in the same country at the same time using one application, but if you want to apply to vacancies in different countries then you need to create individual applications.

Can I view my resume and applications in the new tool?

You can view all of your applications, resumes and candidate profile within the tool under the "My Applications" section.

What is the definition of 'Entry Level' positions?

In Canada, most new graduate roles are considered 'Entry Level Positions'. These are for candidates who have recently completed their degree or have less than 18 months of work experience after graduating.

After submitting my resume to a position, will there be a follow up or contact information?

You have the ability to track the status of your application under the "My Applications" section. If you are not selected for the position, your status will be updated accordingly and you will also be notified via email.

What happens if I withdraw my application?

If you withdraw your application, you will not be considered for the opportunity nor will you be able to re-apply to that specific job opening.

What can I do if I receive a notice that I was not selected for the position?

If you receive a notice advising that you have not been selected for a position, please understand that your application was reviewed and considered against the requirements of the job. While you were not a fit for that specific opportunity, we encourage you to continue exploring other IBM opportunities for which you may be interested in and that match up with your skills. Keep in mind, since you can only apply to a specific job opportunity once, it is important you pay close attention to the questions asked on the application and ensure you respond to all required questions.

How do I reset my password?

Once you are logged into the tool, click on the "Change password" link. You will then be presented with fields to input your old and new password. After you've entered the details, click on "Go".
