Test 000-087: IBM System x Technical Expert V6

The System x Technical Expert will have extensive experience with the System x product family and hands on experience with complex customer environments, buying behavior, and solutions.  The successful candidate will have strong working knowledge of configuration, planning, implementing and support of the System x product family and ancillary equipment and software.  A minimum of 18 months is recommended.  

This test replaces all previous versions of the System x Technical  Expert including BladeCenter and High Performance Servers,  which have been withdrawn or will be withdrawn shortly.  All serious candidates should prepare for test 000-087. 

This certification requires two tests

000-152 System x Technical Fundamentals V10  (previous versions are seriously outdated and not allowed)

and

000-087 Systems x Sales Technical Expert V6

It is recommended that no matter what the experience level, all candidates should assess their skills by reading carefully through the objectives of the test (see the "Objectives" Tab), assess any learning gaps, and use the training resources provided (See the Training Resources Tab) to appropriately prepare.

• Time allowed in minutes: 75
• Required passing score: varies frequently%
• Test languages: English, Chinese Simplified, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese Brazilian, Russian, Spanish LA

The number of questions will vary frequently.  

The required passing score will frequently vary based upon the number and difficulty of the questions presented.
