Test C2180-373: IBM WebSphere Business Monitor V6.2, Solution Development


Note: This test will be withdrawn on Nov 30 2014.

The test consists of five sections containing a total of approx. 56 multiple-choice questions. The percentages after each section title reflect the approximate distribution of the total question set across the sections.

Section 1 - Architecture, Topology and Monitor Infrastructure (14%)


  1. Describe what Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) encompasses

  2. Plan and design the monitor environment and infrastructure based on business requirements (i.e., clustered topology, stand-alone topology, development environment)

  3. Define Event architecture

Section 3 - Monitor Model Design, Development and Testing (30%)


  1. Design the Monitor model based on business and technical requirements

  2. Develop contexts to define and group Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the KPI Model

  3. Identify event emitters within a business application and design the structure of the events to support the required business measures

  4. Create business measures within the monitor model

  5. Create cubes, dimensions and measures within the dimensional model

  6. Create event definitions for inbound and outbound events based on event architecture

  7. Create the event definitions within the editor and publish events to monitor models

  8. Develop and test the visual model

  9. Generate and test the monitor model within the test development environment

  10. Generate the monitor model and manage model versioning for deployment

  11. Compare and merge monitor models


Section 4 - Monitor Model Installation (13%)


  1. Deploy a monitor model within the admin console

  2. Undeploy a monitor model within the admin console

  3. Deploy a version of the monitor model

  4. Determine whether the model version can be updated or redeployed


Section 5 - Dashboard Design, Configuration and Testing (14%)


  1. Select the appropriate Monitor widgets/portlets to design a dashboard based on business requirements

  2. Configure Business Space

  3. Configure Monitor widgets/portlets

  4. Configure multiple widgets/portlets to work in cooperative mode

  5. Test dashboards in development and runtime environment
