This certification exam certifies that the successful candidate has important knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the intermediate to advanced skills required in the day-to-day administration of DB2 instances and databases.
Section 1 - DB2 Server Manangement (10%)
- Ability to convert an existing DB to automatic storage
- Knowledge of how to reclaim storage space
- Ability to configure a DB for Oracle(TM) compatibility
- Ability to manage the db2diag.log file
Section 2 - Physical Design (22.5%)
- Knowledge of new index behavior

Section 3 - Performance (17.5%)

Section 4 - Monitoring DB2 Activity (7.5%)
- Ability to use new adm views and table functions for monitoring
Section 5 - Utilities (10%)
- Ability to use db2val
- Ability to move data while a database remains online
- Knowledge of new features in load utility
Section 6 - High Availability (7.5%)
- Knowledge of new functionality of HADR
- Knowledge of new recovery enhancements
Section 7 - Security (25%)
- Knowledge of new instance and database authorities
- Knowledge of changes to the audit facility
- Knowledge of SSL client support
- Knowledge of trusted contexts
