Test 216: IBM WebSphere Commerce V6.0 Administration

The test consists of five sections containing a total of approximately 56 multiple-choice questions. The percentages after each section title reflect the approximate distribution of the total question set across the sections.

Section 1 - Site Planning and General WebSphereŽ Commerce V6.0 Product Knowledge (21%)

  1. List software components of all WebSphere Commerce editions.
  2. Describe the features and subsystems of Enterprise, Professional and Express Editions.
  3. List WebSphere Commerce and WebSphere Application Server administration tools.
  4. List additional software that is supported with WebSphere Commerce, including integration software.
  5. Identify where to find current IBM support information.
  6. Describe payment concepts.
  7. Describe WebSphere Commerce data architecture (information model).
  8. Describe the supported system topologies as well as hardware and software requirements of WebSphere Commerce.
  9. Describe the supported paths and tools for migration from previous versions of WebSphere Commerce.
  10. Describe the user roles associated with WebSphere Commerce.

Section 2 - Install and Configure IBM WebSphere Commerce (20%)

  1. Perform quick and custom installation, and configuration in both single and multi-tier environments.
  2. Create required instances using Configuration Manager or command line tools.
  3. Set up and configure staging and authoring servers.
  4. Use Configuration Manager to alter instance settings.
  5. Implement security features.
  6. Verify the installation and configuration.
  7. Troubleshoot a failed installation or configuration.
  8. Federate a WebSphere Commerce instance into a Network Deployment cell.

Section 3- Publish a Sample Starter Store and Set Up Store Features (11%)

  1. Describe the concepts of store archives and store assets as well as which store models are available.
  2. Publish the appropriate store archives to support the selected business model.
  3. Launch the published store and verify its functionality.
  4. Configure email activity accounts.
  5. Configure store features, such as store settings, store flow, store style, pages, and logo.
  6. Configure scheduler jobs to support store features.

Section 4- Administer a Site (25%)

  1. Manage organizations and users.
  2. Describe approvals and how to enable them.
  3. Describe access control policies and how to modify them.
  4. Define and administer workspaces.
  5. Manage staging and authoring servers.
  6. Configure payment plug-ins and Payment Rules.
  7. Describe the different catalog management tools and their uses.
  8. Run the loading utilities to prepare and load data.
  9. Configure security.
  10. Configure scheduler jobs to support site features.
  11. Configure message transports and message types.

Section 5 - Maintain a Site (23%)

  1. Perform troubleshooting of WebSphere Commerce, WebSphere Application Server, the Web server, and the database.
  2. Monitor and tune system and site performance.
  3. Describe the Dynamic Cache service and how to use the Cache Monitor tool.
  4. Describe resources that should be backed up for disaster recovery.
  5. Describe when and how to perform system maintenance tasks including log file cleanup and database cleanup.
  6. Apply fixes and Feature Packs.
  7. Deploy and update customized code.
