Test 000-181: IBM WebSphere ILOG JRules BRMS V7.1, Application Development

The test consists of five sections containing a total of 52 multiple-choice questions. The percentages after each section title reflect the approximate distribution of the total question set across the sections. 

Section 1 - Rule design (33%)

  1. Design and create application projects.
  2. Design and implement BOM and XOM.
  3. Establish BOM to XOM mapping.
  4. Verbalize BOM.
  5. Use domains.
  6. Orchestrate rules.
  7. Create and configure categories.
  8. Identify the need for a rule extension model.
  9. Update and refactor BOM.


Section 2 - Rule development (25%)

  1. Author rules using the appropriate artifact.
  2. Use variables and parameters.
  3. Create rule templates.
  4. Use rule artifact properties.
  5. Implement functions in IRL.
  6. Author rule queries.
  7. Analyze rules.
  8. Debug rule projects.


Section 3 - Rule governance (15%)

  1. Describe usage of RS/RTS/RSO in rule governance.
  2. Design rule and ruleset lifecycles.
  3. Customize rule studio and RTS.
  4. Synchronize rule projects.
  5. Create smart views.
  6. Manage permissions.
  7. Create and customize rule reports.


Section 4 - Rule deployment and execution (17%)

  1. Create and deploy ruleapps.
  2. Integrate rule execution.
  3. Optimize execution.
  4. Manage and monitor ruleapps using RES console.


Section 5 - Rule validation and trouble-shooting (10%)

  1. Validate rules with DVS.
  2. Customize DVS.
  3. Use Decision Warehouse.
  4. Trace execution.
