Test 093: IBM WebSphere Process Server V6.0, System Administration


Overview Objectives alt="" height="1" width="30" Test Preparation

The test consists of six sections containing a total of approximately 50 multiple-choice questions. The percentages after each section reflect the approximate distribution of the total question set across the sections.

(Note: On the pre-assessment/sample test, section 2 has 27% of the questions and section 6 has 21%.)

Section 1 - Architecture (14%)

  1. Discuss components and their runtime roles within a WebSphere Process Server production environment
  2. Administer Business Processes and Business Process Choreographer
  3. Understand the elements of Web Services Business Process Execution Language (WS-BPEL) for performance

  4. monitoring and debugging situations
  5. Describe Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) components
  6. Analyze operational requirements in determining applicable WebSphere Process Server topology

Section 2 - Installation/Configuration of Process Server (26%)

  1. Plan pre-requisite and installation options (e.g. migration, coexistence)
  2. Install and configure Business Process Container
  3. Install Human Task Container
  4. Enable Common Event Infrastructure (CEI) logging
  5. Install and configure Business Rules Manager
  6. Configure staff plug-in provider
  7. Configure databases (e.g. Business Process Container, Business Process Choreographer, Human Task Container, CEI)
  8. Establish and configure a clustered WebSphere Process Server environment
  9. Verify WebSphere Process Server installation

Section 3 - Application Deployment and Server Resource Configuration (16%)

  1. Install, update and manage business integration applications
  2. Create and configure JMS resources for business integration applications
  3. Use Business Process Container (BPC) Explorer to monitor and manage processes and tasks
  4. Deploy Web Services
  5. Configure and tune WebSphere Adapters

Section 4 - Security (12%)

  1. Secure Web Services in the runtime environment
  2. Configure global security in the runtime environment
  3. Manage J2EE roles in deployed applications

Section 5 - Maintenance and Performance Tuning (10%)

  1. Monitor application performance using Tivoli Performance Viewer and Common Base Event Browser (CBE)
  2. Tune business processes
  3. Manage process template versioning ("valid from")

Section 6 - Problem Determination Applications (22%)

  1. Identify areas for staff repository problem determination
  2. Use tracing for determination of problems in the installation and execution of Business Processes
  3. Manage failed events
  4. Troubleshoot an unsuccessful installation of WebSphere Process Server
  5. Troubleshoot a failed deployment of business integration application
  6. Troubleshoot runtime issues with business processes, human tasks and business rules
