Test C2170-010: IBM Cúram V6.0.4, Application Development

To prepare for this certification exam, it is first recommended that you are familiar with:

  1. the job role description and the parameters this certification is based on.
  2. the test objectives/skills measured on the test. Use this as your checklist to determine your strengths, and identify those areas where you may need to focus more attention in your studies and preparation.

Next, it it highly recommended for you to master the material presented in the following courses before attempting the certification exam: [9D32G or 9D44G] OR [(9D40G or 9D49G) and (9D41G or 9D50G)].  You may also consider taking the Expert Arena course 9D46G to practice using IBM Cúram features.

It is important to note that actual hands-on experience using the IBM Cúram Application Development Environment (ADE) is a critical component in preparing for this exam. You must spend time using the product and applying the skills learned. The exam is designed to measure how well you know how to perform job-related tasks for either IBM Cúram V6.0.4 or V6.0.5.

The amount of exam preparation time depends on the individual candidate, so you must determine for yourself how much preparation you require. On average, you can expect to spend 8 hours a week for 8 weeks to prepare for this exam.

Classroom Course

Course title: Fundamentals of the IBM Cúram SPM Platform for Developers V6.0.4

Course duration: 10.0 days

Course number: 9D32G

Abstract: The IBM Curam Social Program Management (SPM) Platform includes the Curam Application Development Environment (ADE), which provides many features and tools for customizing Curam out of-the-box (OOTB) solutions. A practical grasp of the ADE is essential for teams wishing to build Curam-compliant solutions that provide high-quality citizen services. This course provides a solid grounding in the Curam model-driven development approach and ADE. It presents an architectural overview of the Curam application; introduces ADE features and tools for modeling, coding, building, and troubleshooting applications; presents tools and guides for interpreting OOTB solutions; and recommends an approach for customizing OOTB solutions. This training provides you with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills required to customize Curam OOTB solutions compliantly.

Course title: Fundamentals of IBM Cúram SPM Platform for Developers V6.0.5

Course duration: 10.0 days

Course number: 9D44G

Abstract: This course provides you with an understanding of customizing IBM Cúram out-of-the-box (OOTB) solutions using the IBM Cúram Application Development Environment (ADE).

The first part of the course describes how to develop IBM Cúram applications using the IBM Cúram ADE and covers the following topics: architectural overview of the Cúram application; ADE features and tools for modeling, server development, and client development; and testing and troubleshooting. The second part of the course describes the techniques used to customize IBM Cúram OOTB applications and covers the following topics: the OOTB reference model, customizing client and server artifacts, customizing handcrafted services layer interfaces.

During the course, you will design and implement a simple end-to-end application using ADE features. You will also customize OOTB artifacts compliantly.
