IBM DB2 UDB Essentials Curriculum
This curriculum includes: IBM DB2 UDB Essentials Part
1 - Fundamentals of DB2 UDB Programming IBM DB2 UDB Essentials Part 2 - System
and Database Administration IBM DB2 UDB Essentials Part 3 - SQL Fundamentals
IBM DB2 UDB Essentials Part 4 - Advanced SQL In Part 1 learn the
fundamentals of IBM DB2. Get an introduction to the IBM DB2 UDB family and the
key elements of database management services. Examine SQL comprehensively from
the end user's perspective - write and run SQL and apply SQL to business
intelligence. Then explore SQL and programming - the principal elements of SQL
test environments, programming, compiling and execution. In Part 2 focus
on the roles and principal tasks of the system administrator and the database
administrator in IBM DB2. Learn about administrative utilities and security.
Get a comprehensive introduction to the areas of database modeling, database
design, and distributed data processing, all of which are core concepts within
IBM DB2 UDB. In Part 3 get an introduction to the fundamental elements
of SQL. Address simple query running before moving on to more complex
procedures, such as retrieving data from multiple tables and creating single
reports from multiple queries. Review scalar and column functions. Also, learn
to run subqueries and maintain data. Learn to write basic Data Manipulation
