Courses and publications are offered to help you prepare for the certification tests. The courses are recommended, but not required, before taking a certification test. When preparing for the certification test, keep in mind that real world experience is required to stand a reasonable chance of passing the certification test. Courseware does not replace the requirement for experience.

Solution / Product Guide
The competitive nature of today's business demands that an organization's business processes be highly dynamic. A business must accommodate and manage fast-changing business rules associated with business processes. A business rules management system (BRMS) enables you to extract business rules and decisions from business processes and manage them independently, thereby allowing the processes to be streamlined. This article describes how to integrate IBM® WebSphere® ILOG® JRules, an industry-leading BRMS, with IBM FileNet® P8 BPM, a comprehensive business process management system (BPMS).
The Search widget included in the IBM® Case Manager Client is designed for case workers to search for cases based on selected property values. In Case Manager Client 5.0, the Search widget provides a basic search and an advanced search. Case workers can use the Search widget to find cases by the case ID, by date, or narrow the search based on various properties. If you have requirements that go beyond the capabilities of the search widget, then you can develop a custom search widget. Building a custom search widget requires the leveraging of interfaces provided by ICM runtime to develop the specific search function. This article describes how to create a custom Search widget and when it is appropriate to do so.

IBM® Case Manager simplifies the job of designing and building a case management system and provides a graphical user interface for case workers to easily manage cases. With IBM Case Manager, you design a case management solution that is based on closely related cases and then deploy that solution into a production environment. Case workers can then complete work items associated with cases.
