This course enables you to acquire the skills necessary to produce application programs that manipulate DB2 databases. Emphasis is on embedding Structured Query Language (SQL) statements and preparing programs for execution.
This course teaches how to take advantage of advanced programming techniques to access DB2 databases in the workstation environment. These techniques can be utilized in addition to standard embedded SQL calls that are addressed in the prerequisite offering,DB2 UDB Programming Fundamentals. These advanced techniques include: Stored Procedures User-Defined Functions Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) Performance concepts are also addressed.
