Focus on ESS architecture and using the IBM TotalStorage Expert to configure Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) Logic Unit Numbers (LUN) for use on open platforms attached via Ultra SCSI or Fibre Channel host bus adapters. Learn about attachment considerations for AIX, Sun, HP, NT, NUMA-Q, Windows 2000, and AS/400 platforms. Get a high-level overview of ESS Copy Services functions (Peer-to-Peer Remote Copy (PPRC) and FlashCopy), ESS Web Copy Services, and host Call Level Interfaces (CLI). Participate in hands-on labs where you use ESS Specialist to configure the ESS subsystem and use the TotalStorage Expert to monitor and display ESS performance and capacity reports.
