Learn advanced skills to plan, set up, and implement basic and advanced configurations of the Virtual Input/Output (VIO) Server and its clients including high availability solutions when using the Advanced POWER Virtualization (APV) features on IBM System p5 systems. As you build the virtualized environment, learn to leverage NIM by configuring a NIM Master LPAR and use it to install AIX clients. Learn about the supported Virtual Small Computer System Interface (VSCSI) and Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN) configurations which improves availability, including dual VIO Server configurations.
