Intermediate Level Certification

IBM is pleased to announce the addition of the following job-role certification and applicable test to the Professional Certification Program from IBM. This certification is available worldwide today, Nov. 30, 2011. By achieving this certification, intermediate level BPM developers have validated their knowledge and skills, and can demonstrate their technical competence to others.

IBM Certified BMP Developer - WebSphere Lombardi Edition V7.2

Test 000-178, IBM WebSphere Lombardi Edition V7.2, BPM Development

This intermediate level certification is intended for BPM application developers who contribute to the delivery of complex level process applications, and provide supervision and guidance to entry level developers (i.e., IBM Certified Associate Developers).

These BPM application developers implement high quality process-driven business solutions using IBM WebSphere Lombardi Edition 7.2. This includes:

• design, development, and management of complex process interactivity.
• implementation of advanced technical integrations with external systems.
• implementation of advanced process routing of tasks.
• development of portals that provide process visibility through custom reports and scoreboards.
• creation of Custom User Interfaces based on process requirements.
• promotion of the play-back methodology.

To attain the certification credential, candidates must pass 1 test: Test 000-178.

Test 000-178 is designed to measure skills in the areas of:

Practical experience and in-depth product knowledge are required to ensure success on the test.

• job role description/target audience to which the test is built
• test objectives or detailed skills measured on the test
• test preparation / training resources used to prepare based on the test objectives
• test prepartaion / assessment test to gauge ones readiness for the actual test

Test 000-178 is available via test delivery vendor Prometric (link resides outside of ibm.com).

Test 000-178 is also available to IBM employees at a reduced rate via the internal IBM SWG Prime Test Centers, and IBMers can obtain test registration information via certify@us.ibm.com.

Test 000-178 is a 75 minute test. The test fee is set to the economy of a country as $200 USD each in developed countries and $100 USD each in emerging market countries. For the test fee per country, refer to the public certification web site, Test Information Pricing.
