IBM is pleased to announce the addition of the following job-role certification and applicable test to the
Professional Certification Program from IBM (www.ibm.com/certify).
This certification is available worldwide today, August 14, 2009. By achieving this certification, intermediate
level solution developers have validated their knowledge and skills, and can demonstrate their technical competence
to others.
IBM Certified Solution Developer - Web Services Development for WebSphere Application Server V7.0
Test 000-371, Web Services Development for IBM WebSphere Application Server V7.0
This intermediate level certification is intended for solution developers who are responsible
for using IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software V7.5 and IBM WebSphere Application Server V7.0
to discover, develop, build, deploy, test and publish Web services and clients which use Java EE 5 and
corresponding WS-* standards.
This certification does not specifically test for Web and EJB development and Service-oriented architecture (SOA)
design techniques, except as they relate to Web services. Other IBM certification offerings specifically address or
will address these areas.
To attain the certification credential, candidates must pass 1 test: Test 000-371.
Test 000-371 is designed to measure skills in the areas of:

- job role description/target audience to which the test is built
- test objectives or detailed skills measured on the test
- test preparation / training resources used to prepare based on the test objectives
- assessment test to gauge ones readiness for the actual test
Test 000-371 is available via test delivery vendor
 Prometric.
Test 000-371 is also available to IBM employees at a reduced rate via the IBM SWG Prime Test Centers,
and IBMers can obtain test registration information via
certify@us.ibm.com.
Test 000-371 is a 150 minute test. The test fee is set to the economy of a country as $200 USD each in
developed countries and $100 USD each in emerging market countries. The test delivery vendor can verify the specific test
fee within each country.
