IBM is pleased to announce the addition of the following job-role certification and applicable test to the
Professional Certification Program from IBM (www.ibm.com/certify).
This certification is available worldwide today, August 10, 2009. By achieving this certification, intermediate level
solution designers have validated their knowledge and skills, and can demonstrate their technical competence to others.
IBM Certified Solution Designer - WebSphere MQ V7.0
Test 000-376, IBM WebSphere MQ V7.0, Solution Design
This intermediate level Solution Designer is an individual with significant product knowledge who
understands the concepts of asynchronous messaging and can plan and architect software solutions involving IBM WebSphere
MQ V7.0, design applications based on it, and demonstrate knowledge and experience with a wide variety of WebSphere
MQ platforms.
It is expected that this Solution Designer will be generally self-sufficient and able to perform the tasks involved
in the role with limited assistance.
Due to the various platforms supported by WebSphere MQ V7.0, this certification is a cross platform certification.
To attain the certification credential, candidates must pass 1 test: Test 000-376.
Test 000-376 is designed to measure skills in the areas of:

Practical experience and in-depth product knowledge are required to ensure success on the test.
To help candidates prepare, the following information is provided, and accessible via the
IBM Certified Solution Designer - WebSphere MQ V7.0:
- job role description/target audience to which the test is built
- test objectives or detailed skills measured on the test
- test preparation / training resources used to prepare based on the test objectives
- assessment test to gauge ones readiness for the actual test
Test 000-376 is available via test delivery vendor
 Prometric.
Test 000-376 is also available to IBM employees at a reduced rate via the IBM SWG Prime Test Centers,
and IBMers can obtain test registration information via
certify@us.ibm.com.
Test 000-376 is a 90 minute test. The test fee is set to the economy of a country as $200 USD
each in developed countries and $100 USD each in emerging market countries. The test delivery vendor can verify
the specific test fee within each country.
