IBM is pleased to announce the addition of the following job-role certification and applicable test to the
Professional Certification Program from IBM (www.ibm.com/certify).
This certification is available worldwide today, July 31, 2009. By achieving this certification, intermediate level
system administrators have validated their knowledge and skills, and can demonstrate their technical competence to
others.
IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere MQ V7.0
Test 000-374, IBM WebSphere MQ V7.0, System Administration
This intermediate level system administrator is an individual with extensive product knowledge,
who is expected to plan, install, and configure the product as well as implement applications, set up distributed
queuing, enable appropriate security, administer and operate a queue manager network, enforce organizational and
operational standards, perform basic problem determination and implement clustering and publish/subscribe topologies.
It is expected that this system administrator will be generally self-sufficient and be able to perform the tasks
involved in the role with limited assistance from peers, product documentation and vendor support services.
Due to the various platforms supported by WebSphere MQ V7.0, this certification is a cross platform certification.
To attain the certification credential, candidates must pass 1 test: Test 000-374.
Test 000-374 is designed to measure skills in the areas of:

To help candidates prepare, the following information is provided, and accessible via the
IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere MQ V7.0:
- job role description/target audience to which the test is built
- test objectives or detailed skills measured on the test
- test preparation / training resources used to prepare based on the test objectives
- assessment test to gauge ones readiness for the actual test
Test 000-374 is available via test delivery vendor
 Prometric.
Test 000-374 is also available to IBM employees at a reduced rate via the IBM SWG Prime Test Centers,
and IBMers can obtain test registration information via
certify@us.ibm.com.
Test 000-374 is a 105 minute test. The test fee is set to the economy of a country as $200 USD
each in developed countries and $100 USD each in emerging market countries. The test delivery vendor can verify the
specific test fee within each country.
