Advanced Application Developer – WebSphere ILOG JRules V6.x

IBM is pleased to announce the addition of the following job-role certification and applicable test to the
Professional Certification Program from IBM (www.ibm.com/certify).
This certification is available worldwide today, June 19, 2009. By achieving this certification, advanced level
WebSphere ILOG application developers have validated their knowledge and skills, and can demonstrate their
technical competence to others.
IBM Certified Advanced Application Developer – WebSphere ILOG JRules V6.x
Test 000-528, IBM WebSphere ILOG JRules V6.x, Advanced Application Development
This advanced level certification is intended for advanced technical professionals with deep
knowledge of the WebSphere ILOG JRules 6 platform. The professionals have gained practical experience using the
product through the design and implementation of business rule management systems (BRMS). In particular, these
professionals need to demonstrate their experience with the:
- design of rule projects
- authoring of rules and the design of rule orchestration
- deployment of rules and the optimization of rule execution
- use of all product modules (Rule Studio, RTS, RES, RSM)
- Java API of the product.
This advanced application developer is generally self-sufficient and is able to perform most of the tasks
involved in the role with limited assistance from peers, product documentation and vendor support services.
To attain the certification credential, candidates must pass 1 test: Test 000-528.

Practical experience and in-depth product knowledge are required to ensure success on the test.
To help candidates prepare, the following information is provided, and accessible via the
IBM Certified Advanced Application Developer – WebSphere ILOG JRules V6.x:
- job role description/target audience to which the test is built
- test objectives or detailed skills measured on the test
- test preparation / training resources used to prepare based on the test objectives
- assessment test to gauge ones readiness for the actual test
Test 000-528 is available via test delivery vendor
 Prometric.
Test 000-528 is also available to IBM employees at a reduced rate via the IBM SWG Prime
Test Centers, and IBMers can obtain test registration information via
certify@us.ibm.com.
Test 000-528 is a 60 minute test. The test fee is set to the economy of a country as $200
USD each in developed countries and $100 USD each in emerging market countries. The test delivery vendor can
verify the specific test fee within each country.
