IBM is pleased to announce the addition of the following job-role certification and applicable test to the
Professional Certification Program from IBM (www.ibm.com/certify).
This certification is available worldwide today, June 19, 2009. By achieving this certification, intermediate level
solution implementers have validated their knowledge and skills, and can demonstrate their technical competence to others.
IBM Certified Solution Implementer - WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances, Firmware V3.7.3
Test 000-378, IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances, Firmware V3.7.3
This intermediate level certification is intended for solution implementers who are responsible
for configuring and deploying SOA solutions using IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances. This includes WebSphere
DataPower XML Accelerator XA35, WebSphere DataPower XML Security Gateway XS40, and WebSphere DataPower Integration
Appliance XI50.
An implementer who passes this exam is able to deploy IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances:
- to accelerate XML processing.
- to secure SOA implementations.
- to integrate heterogeneous systems into SOA environments.
- to provide monitoring and service-level management for SOA Governance
These solution implementers are also required to have conceptual understanding of WebSphere DataPower B2B
Appliance XB60 and WebSphere DataPower Low Latency Appliance XM70.
This application developer is generally self-sufficient and is able to perform most of the tasks involved in
the role with limited assistance from peers, product documentation and vendor support services.
To attain the certification credential, candidates must pass 1 test: Test 000-378.

IBM Certified Solution Implementer - WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances, Firmware V3.7.3:
- job role description/target audience to which the test is built
- test objectives or detailed skills measured on the test
- test preparation / training resources used to prepare based on the test objectives
- assessment test to gauge ones readiness for the actual test
Test 000-378 is available via test delivery vendor
 Prometric.
Test 000-378 is also available to IBM employees at a reduced rate via the IBM SWG Prime
Test Centers, and IBMers can obtain test registration information via
certify@us.ibm.com.
Test 000-378 is a 150 minute test. The test fee is set to the economy of a country as $200
USD each in developed countries and $100 USD each in emerging market countries. The test delivery vendor can verify
the specific test fee within each country.
