IBM is pleased to announce the addition of the following job-role
certification and applicable test to the Professional
Certification Program from IBM
(www.ibm.com/certify). This certification is
available worldwide today, June 6, 2008. By achieving this certification,
intermediate level business analysts have validated their knowledge and
skills, and can demonstrate their technical competence to others.
IBM Certified Business Process Analyst - WebSphere Business Modeler Advanced V6.1
Test 992, IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Advanced V6.1, Business Analysis and Design
This intermediate level certification is
intended for business analysts who design business models and processes.
These professionals observe real life processes, and gather information
to create business process models. They perform organization and
resource modeling, analyze processes considering a variety of
dimensions, build accurate and realistic simulations, create reports,
and identify business measures to address productivity and performance
management.
Specifically, this certification applies to business analysts who
use IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Advanced V6.1 for process modeling,
analysis, simulation, reporting, and business measures definition.
These individuals have developed skills in Business Process Management
(BPM). It is expected that they will be self-sufficient and able to
perform the tasks involved in the role independently, with limited
assistance from peers, product documentation and vendor support services.
To attain the certification credential, candidates must pass Test 992.
Test 992 is designed to measure skills in the areas of:

Test 992 is available via test delivery vendor
Prometric
. Test 992 is also available to IBM
employees at a reduced rate via the IBM SWG Prime Test Centers,
and IBMers can obtain test registration information via
certify@us.ibm.com.
Test 992 is a 2.5 hour (150 minute) test. The test
fee is set to the economy of a country as $150 USD in developed
countries and $75 USD in emerging market countries. The test delivery
vendor can verify the specific test fee within each country.
