This certification is available worldwide today, October 31, 2006 . By achieving this certification, solution developers can validate their knowledge and skills, and demonstrate their technical competence to others.
IBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere Message Broker V6.0
Test 997, WebSphere Message Broker V6.0, Solution Development
This intermediate level certification targets developers, architects and consultants with the knowledge and experience to utilize the connectivity, transformation, and mediation capabilities of the WebSphere Message Broker. They are able to analyze, design, and deploy message models using the WebSphere Message Brokers Toolkit. In addition, these developers can design, develop, test, debug, and deploy message flows via the WebSphere Message Brokers Toolkit by using ESQL, Java, XSLT, and graphical mapping tools.
These individuals understand how to integrate legacy applications, web services, databases and Java applications in order to build advanced Enterprise Service Bus solutions. They also understand concepts related to scalability, high availability, security and workload balancing in the WebSphere Message Broker environment.
To attain the certification credential, candidates must pass Test 997.

Test 997 is available via test delivery vendors Prometric Thomson (APTC) and Pearson VUE today. To register for a test, refer to the IBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere Message Broker V6.0 web page, and contact the test delivery vendor. Test 997 is also available to IBM employees at a reduced rate via the IBM SWG Prime Test Centers, and IBMers can obtain test registration information via certify@us.ibm.com.
Test 997 is a 75 minute test. The test fee is set to the economy of a country as $150 USD in developed countries and $75 USD in emerging market countries. The test delivery vendor can verify the specific test fee within each country.
