Advisor:

  1. Maps customer business requirements and identifies opportunities for IBM solutions.
  2. Influences direction within the customer environment and is responsible for educating and influencing key decision makers.

SOA Associate:

  2. Integrates one product or solution with another, or into an existing environment, using in-product tools and/or customization techniques.
  3. Advises and assists with optimizing the implemented solution within the existing environment.
Designer:

IBM Certified Solution Designer
  1. Creates the theoretical and/or detailed technical design for an application, solution, infrastructure, or associated project that matches the business requirement. The more detailed, complex, or comprehensive the work, the more advanced the role.
  2. Provides expertise to evaluate and choose between alternatives; assists with balancing costs with capabilities and priorities.
  3. Identifies products / technologies / processes to be included, and determines points of required integration and customization.
  4. Identifies sizing and capacity issues, as well as conflicts with existing processes or environments.
SOA Designer:

  1. Articulates the value of SOA Solution in the context of the business strategy and assesses the client’s readiness for SOA organizationally and technically.
  2. Gathers and evaluates customer business requirements, identifying and documenting current processes and infrastructure related to the business requirements and determines services and tasks based on the business process model.
  3. Architects the service integration environment and incorporates IBM SOA Foundation and Reference Architectures.
  4. Applies existing best practices and technology standards for SOA and services design in the solution implementation and provides guidance and review for SOA implementation, deployment and management.

  3. Develops solutions to business/IT problems that incorporate IBM products and related technologies into the solution.
Expert:

  1. Has detailed technical knowledge about IBM content and is able to apply these concepts to the family of products.
  2. Has demonstrated a higher level of technical understanding and experience across multiple areas.
  3. Performs high-level design and requirements gathering, installation and configuration, as well as user and system administration.
Operator:

  1. Understands the technical storage management requirements including schedules, devices and basic communication requirements.
  2. Performs the operational tasks related to monitoring TSM operations, manages TSM client and server functions, and interprets configurations and basic troubleshooting.
