Q: Is there a fee to take any Software Sales Mastery Test?
A: Yes, there is a 20 USD fee and the test is taken through the Prometric on-line testing Web site.
Q: How many chances do I have to pass a sales mastery test?
A: You have two chances to pass a sales mastery test. If you do not pass, you may not take the same test again until three months have passed.
Q: How is the test formatted?
A: The test format is multiple-choice.
Q: How much time does it take to complete a sales mastery test?
A: Times vary by test. Test times are provided on the overview tab for each test on this site, as well as in the Prometric test instructions.
Q: If a test is withdrawn, how long do I have before I need to recertify my sales skill?
A: You have at least six months from when a test is withdrawn to recertify your sales skill by passing the replacement sales mastery test.
Q: If I am already registered with Prometric, where do I access the sales mastery tests?
A: Prometric's Web-based test delivery tool is called Prime and is organized by sponsor areas. IBM's software sales mastery tests are found in a sponsor area called "PartnerWorld for Software Sales Mastery Tests."
Q: How does IBM PartnerWorld get the information about successful completion of a sales mastery test?
A: After you pass a test, be sure to add your Prometric Candidate ID to your company's PartnerWorld profile. Your candidate ID is used to pull certifications and mastery skills from the IBM Certification DB. Your candidate ID can be found on your Prometric score report provided after you complete the test.
Please review the instructions for adding your Candidate ID to your company's Partnerworld profile. If you have multiple Prometric Candidate IDs, please go to IBM Certification member site and request a merge of your IDs. All merge requests are handled through the Member's site. If you have not registered, please do so, and this service will become available to you.

Q: Will I receive a certificate?
A: Yes, after you pass the test, your results are sent to IBM. IBM will acknowledge your passing score with an email and attach a PDF with your certificate. You may also return to the online Prometric testing site to retrieve your passing score report at any time. Please verify your email address in your Prometric registration is correct.
Q: I have never signed on at Prometric before, what should I do?
A: To take the Software Sales Mastery Test:
Access the Web-based test delivery tool Prime.
If you already have an account on Prime, select Secure Sign-In and continue to Take Test. Otherwise select First Time Registration and follow the 2 steps below:
Step 1: If you already have a Prometric ID number enter it into Step 1. If you do not have one, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Select the PartnerWorld for Software Sales Mastery Tests section. Enter your demographic data and 'Submit'.
Note: Choose your username and password that you will use every time you take a test via Prime. Record them for future reference, along with your ID number that Prime generates.
- Select Take Test (first option).
- Under Public Test (first rectangle), select the PartnerWorld for Software Sales Mastery Tests section, and 'Submit'.
- Select the number of the test you want to take and proceed with on screen instructions.
