IBM Certified Solution Designer - Rational Software Architect

Job Role Description / Target Audience

This intermediate level solution designer is an individual with extensive product knowledge who will develop well-architected applications and services using IBM Rational Software Architect. This individual will design applications using RSA's tools that leverage model-driven development with UML. This individual designs and develops solutions in a RUP-driven software development process. As part of their designs, this individual is able to incorporate existing code and reusable assets in their projects. In addition, this individual leverages the extensibility features of RSA including the use of patterns, profiles and transformations. It is expected that this individual is familiar with using RSA in a team environment and is familiar with ways in which to structure their models for team sharing and use of the RSA capabilities for supporting team development. It is expected that this solution designer will generally be self-sufficient and able to perform the tasks involved in the role with limited assistance from peers, product documentation and vendor support services.

To attain the IBM Certified Solution Designer - IBM Rational Software Architect certification, candidates must pass 1 tests.
