Job Role Description / Target Audience
This intermediate-level Deployment Professional has at least an intermediate understanding with the WebSphere family of products (including, but not limited to WebSphere Application Server or WebSphere Portal (or both), WebSphere ESB, WebSphere Virtual Enterprise, WebSphere Business Monitor, WSSR, WebSphere Process Server). The Deployment Professional must be able to perform the following tasks:
1. Install and configure Rational Build Forge and the Rational Automation Framework for WebSphere for different deployment environments.
2. Create and manage automation projects and libraries.
3. Identify and effectively implement the appropriate capabilities of RAFW that meet the needs of the specific customer environment.
The Deployment Professional has extensive product knowledge of some or all of the IBM WebSphere family of products, IBM Rational Build Forge and IBM Rational Automation Framework for WebSphere and can independently perform configuration, training, and mentoring tasks on these products for deployment projects, with limited assistance from peers and vendor support services.
