The IBM Certified Solution Developer -
WebSphere IIS DataStage Enterprise Edition v7.5 has the
critical knowledge and skills necessary to professionally design and develop an
efficient and scalable DataStage EE solution to a complex enterprise level
business problem; configure a scalable parallel environment including clustered
and distributed configurations; collect, report on, and resolve issues
identified through key application performance indicators; be proficient in
extending the capabilities of the parallel framework using the provided APIs
(buildops, wrappers, and
components).
The qualified
individual can design and develop a scalable complex solution using a minimum
number of components, can precisely control data partitioning and provide for
minimum data skew. This individual should also be able to configure a
distributed or non-symmetric environment and should be able to tune a parallel
application to determine where bottlenecks exist and how to eliminate them. The
certified individual can work with complex data import and export scenarios
(arrays, structures, tagged, packed, binary data, etc.) and understands the
intricacies of designing parallel solutions without relying on automated
insertion of partitioning and sort operations. The candidate clearly
understands what an inserted buffer operation is, can enable environment
variables to collect performance statistics and can determine the appropriate
response to the collected data.
To
attain the IBM Certified Solution Developer -
WebSphere IIS DataStage Enterprise Edition v7.5
certification, candidates must pass 1 test (Test
415: IBM WebSphere IIS DataStage Enterprise Edition
v7.5).
