Key Areas of Competency - Interpret and implement user scheduling
requirements.
- Interpret and implement user requirements for
managing event driven workload (ETT, DataSet Triggering, etc).
- Manage the scheduling environment, handling exceptions (jobs ending in error,
scheduling changes, etc) as needed.
- Diagnose and correct
problems with the TWSz environment (configuration errors, jobtracking issues,
performance problems, etc.
- Use the IBM Software Support
structure as appropriate.
Required
Prerequisite(s) The following qualifications are
requirements for success: - Extensive
experience as a TWSz scheduler (planning, managing the TWSz databases,
implementing schedule requirements). Skill Level - 4
- Understanding the TWS scheduling concepts and terminology as presented in the
TWS z/OS documentation library and redbooks. Skill Level -
3
- Restart and Clean up functions. Skill Level -
3
- Working knowledge with z/OS environment (TSO, ISPF, z/OS
parmlib structure, SMPE, JES). Skill Level -
2
- Basic familiarity with the various communication protocols
(e.g. VTAM / XCF / TCPIP). Skill Level - 2
- Basic
awareness z/OS Security applications (RACF). Skill Level -
2

Prerequisite(s) In addition, experience in the
following areas is highly recommended: - Familiarity with Job Scheduling Console.
- Basic understanding
of End to End environment .
