An IBM Certified Solution Advisor - Tivoli Business Automation Management 2008 is a person who develops high-level architectural solutions that are integrated with existing systems and aligned with business critical issues within a customer environment. The person is responsible for performing hardware and software business automation solutions analysis and communicating high-level design scenarios to the customer.

Key Areas of Competency - Map customer requirements to IBM Tivoli Business Automation Management solutions.
- Assess customer's current operational processes (for example, configuration management procedures).
- Assess the customer's environment for IBM Tivoli Business Automation opportunities.
- Align third-party products and IBM products, specifically Tivoli, to IBM Tivoli Business Automation opportunities.
- Assess requirements and document a high-level design overview and recommendations.
- Describe business/technical advantages of IBM Tivoli Business Automation solutions.
- Apply business automation concepts to the solution design.
- Recommend education opportunities to customer, based on the IBM Tivoli Business Automation solution.
- Understand hardware and software solution analysis.
- Possess strong presentation skills.
Prerequisites
- Knowledge of business automation services (for example, Web services or database services and how they integrate). Skill level 3
- Capability to assess and analyze business automation maturity. Skill level 3
- Ability to analyze business and operational processes. Skill level 3
- Understanding of hardware requirements. Skill level 3
- Knowledge of operation and business support system frameworks and best practices (for example ITIL and eTOM). Skill level 2
- Understanding of business automation aspects of other related IBM products (WebSphere, Lotus, etc.). Skill level 2
- Familiarity with IBM Tivoli Business Automation education and product certification. Skill level 2
- Familiarity with IBM OPAL Web site and IBM Tivoli Business Automation offerings. Skill level 2
- Understanding of IBM Tivoli Business Automation solution portfolio. Skill level 2
