An IBM Certified Deployment Professional - Tivoli Composite Application Manager for WebSphere (ITCAM for WebSphere) V6.1 is a technical professional responsible for the planning (including sizing, network load, database requirements), installing, configuring, troubleshooting, demonstrating usage, and documenting of solutions for IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for WebSphere V6.1
This individual will be expected to perform these tasks with limited assistance from peers, product documentation and support resources.
To attain the IBM Certified Deployment Professional - Tivoli Composite Application Manager for WebSphere V6.1 certification, candidates must pass 1 test.

- Analyze the deployment environment
- Assist in project plan development
- Apply J2EE concepts for application monitoring
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the supported versions of WebSphere Application Server
- Perform basic installations of prerequisite software - WebSphere Application Server, IBM DB2 or Oracle
- Describe the IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for WebSphere V6.1 features and components and identify the enhancements over ITCAM for WebSphere V6.0
- Install and configure IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for WebSphere V6.1
- Troubleshoot IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for WebSphere V6.1
- Perform database optimization
- Demonstrate ability to integrate ITCAM for WebSphere V6.1 with IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.1
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of enabling coexistence with IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for Response Time Tracking
Required prerequisite knowledge: - Working knowledge of operating systems
- General knowledge of server hardware
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles
- Working knowledge of system administration of UNIX, Windows or Linux operating systems
- General knowledge of basic editors such as VI
- Working knowledge of WebSphere Application Server (administrative console, clustering)
- Working knowledge of the installation of WebSphere Application Server and DB2
- Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle and DB2
Recommended prerequisite knowledge: - General knowledge of Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX (SFU)
- Working with environment variables: local variables, exported variables, HOME, PATH.
- General knowledge of SNMP
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of Application Response Measurement (ARM) concepts.
- General knowledge of WebSphere Application Server on z/OS
- Working knowledge of IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.1
- Ability to navigate on z/OS systems
