- Apply governing security concepts and standards to a customer-s IT infrastructure.
- Assess IT process maturity.
- Assess the IT environment for security opportunities.
- Align IBM, Tivoli, and Tivoli Partner products to security opportunities.
- Assess requirements and create a solution design.
- Describe business/technical advantages of IBM Tivoli security solutions.
- Apply security concepts to the solution design.
- Recommend education opportunities to customer based on the IBM Tivoli security solution.
- Supply a transition document to interested parties.
Required Prerequisite(s)* - The following qualifications are requirements for success:
- Conceptual knowledge of IT process model (i.e. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)).
- Experience with IT organization structures.
- Conceptual knowledge of IT security services (authorization, authentication, confidentiality, data integrity, non-repudiation).
- Conceptual knowledge of IT security standards (government and civil), regulations, and certifications (PKI, SSL, SAML, Liberty, etc.).
- Conceptual knowledge of IT directory/LDAP functionality.
- Familiarity with security aspects of key IBM products (WebSphere, Lotus, etc.).
- Familiarity with key IBM Tivoli Partner security products (ActivCard, PKI - VeriSign etc.).
- Conceptual understanding of other IBM security products (Server Security, SSL accelerator cards, etc.).
- Familiarity with IBM Tivoli security education offerings.
- Conceptual knowledge of networking environments, operating systems, relational databases, application environments (Java, .NET, etc.), key vendor environments (SAP, Siebel, PeopleSoft, etc.).
- Capability to assess and analyze security maturity according to IBM terminology (based on an IBM security solution).
- Create a business case justification for an IT project.
- Experience defining proof "Best Practices" for IT processes (measurable, repeatable, documented, etc.).
