An IBM Certified Deployment Professional - Tivoli Federated
Identity Manager V6.1 is a technical professional responsible for the
planning, designing, customizing, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting of
solutions for IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager V6.1. This individual will
be expected to perform these tasks with limited assistance from peers, product
documentation, and support resources. To attain
the IBM Certified Deployment Professional - Tivoli Federated
Identity Manager V6.1 certification, candidates must pass 1
test.

- Assess customer's architecture and solution design
documentation.
- Analyze the deployment environments.
- Assist in project
plan development.
- Apply Federation Management concepts (Federated Identity
Management, Web Services Security Management, Federated
Provisioning).
- Perform basic installations of the prerequisite applications (IBM
Tivoli Directory Integrator, LDAP/DB2, WebSphere Application Server V6.0, IBM
Tivoli Access Manager).
- Describe the IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager V6.1
features and components.
- Configure product integration points (IBM Tivoli
Directory Integrator, WebSphere Application Server V6.0, Common Audit and
Reports Service (CARS), IBM Tivoli Access Manager for e-business
V5.1/V6.0).
- Install and configure Federated Single Sign-On, Web Services Security
Management, and Federated Provisioning services.
- Identify key
components of Federated Single Sign-On protocols.
- Demonstrate working
knowledge of IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager subsystems.
- Deploy IBM Tivoli
Federated Identity Manager customer solutions leveraging combinations of the
Federated Single Sign-On, Web Services Security Management, and Federated
Provisioning services.
- Troubleshoot IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager V6.1
services.
- Basic Web page development fundamentals (including security
issues).
- Working knowledge of operating systems.
- Working knowledge of
server hardware and networking technologies.
- Experience and knowledge with TCP/IP
networking principles including SSL.
- Working knowledge of system administration
of UNIX, Windows, or Linux operating systems.
- General knowledge of security concepts
including key management and PKI fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of
XML terms and concepts including XSLT, XML DSig, and XML
Encryption.
- Working knowledge of SOAP terms and concepts including WS Security, WS
Trust, WSDL, Web Service deployment.
- Working knowledge of LDAP (IBM Tivoli
Directory Server).
- Working knowledge of basic editors such as VI.
- Working knowledge of
WebSphere Application Server (administration console,
clustering).
- Working knowledge of IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator and
JavaScript.
- Programming and scripting experience including: JSP, ActiveX,
Java.
- Working knowledge of IBM Tivoli Access Manager for
e-business.
- Security policy management concepts.
- Working knowledge of Federated Single
Sign-On protocols (SAML, WS Federation, Liberty).
- Working knowledge of
Web Service application deployment.
- Working knowledge of Federated
Provisioning.
- Working knowledge of Common Audit Reporting Services
(CARS).
- Working knowledge of third party XML firewall/gateways.
- Familiarity with
additional layers of the protocol stack and associated wireless protocols:
WTLS, WML, WAP.
- Familiarity with Web Service application tooling such as RAD,
WSAD.
- Working with environment variables: local variables, exported
variables, HOME, PATH, subshells.
- Familiarity with wsadmin and jython
scripting.
- Familiarity with WebSphere Application Server
Dynacache.
- Familiarity with TCPMon.
- Familiarity with Data Center terms, concepts
and methodologies: Load Balancing, Firewalls, Switching and routing (Level2,
Level3).
- Familiarity with Common Event Infrastructure.
