IBM Certified Specialist - Storwize V7000 Implementation V1
Job Role Description / Target Audience
The IBM Storwize V7000 Implementation V1 certification is for individuals who perform the installation and configuration tasks for a Storwize V7000 system. The breadth of skills tested includes starting with a new system as it arrives at the client location, and continues through the steps required from provisioning storage to attaching servers. Note that this certification is based on Storwize V7000 Version 6.4 software. Implementation skills are limited to features and functions of the Storwize V7000 only, and does not include features and functions unique to the Storwize V7000 Unified system.
Recommended Prerequisite Skills
The qualified candidate should have knowledge and experience with SAN storage concepts and deployment, and understand the concepts of planning and deployment of storage systems (e.g., RAID levels, connectivity, performance, storage networking, basic concepts of I/O disk operations). This candidate should also have three or more months hands-on experience implementing Storwize V7000 systems, and/or complete IBM training course code SSE10 - IBM Storwize V7000 Implementation Workshop.
